There is no 'one way best way' to do anything.

Today Managers in all walks of life are asked to be more accountable than ever for their actions.

A Manager is paid to produce results through the action of others, making best use of time and in a $ cost effective manner.

With this in mind we should really look at what a Staff member is going to be able to do on return from a training event.


As Managers we must consider how best to serve the interest of Shareholders, Staff and Clients.

We must value our Staff and develop their ability to meet both their needs and that of the organisation.

A Modern Definition of Training should read something like this:

"Training is a method of improving an individual's performance via the systematic management of learning of new behaviour to meet both the organisation's and individuals goals".
